Corrado Maggioni, presidente del Comit\u00e9 Pontificio para los Congresos Eucar\u00edsticos Internacionales arrib\u00f3 desde Roma-Italia a Quito-Ecuador la tarde del lunes 10 de abril de 2024, a fin de avanzar con el acompa\u00f1amiento en la organizaci\u00f3n del 53\u00b0 Congreso Eucar\u00edstico Internacional, IEC2024 previsto realizarse en Quito del 8 al 15 de septiembre de 2024.<\/p>\n<p>En cuanto lleg\u00f3 a la capital ecuatoriana se dirigi\u00f3 a la iglesia de Gu\u00e1pulo, primer santuario mariano del Ecuador, construido en la segunda mitad del siglo XVII, como un gesto para encomendar su viaje a la Sant\u00edsima Virgen; mientras que el martes 11 de abril el P. Corrado Maggioni visit\u00f3 las instalaciones de la Secretar\u00eda General del IEC 2024 y en horas de la tarde, la Curia Metropolitana de Quito.<\/p>\n<p>Su agenda que va del 11 al 21 de abril de 2023 incluye reuniones con quienes forman parte del Comit\u00e9 Local del IEC2024, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n con presidentes de las distintas comisiones organizadoras de este importante encuentro eclesial, que en septiembre de 2024 atraer\u00e1 la atenci\u00f3n de Latinoam\u00e9rica y el mundo.\u00a0 Durante semana y media ofrecer\u00e1, entre otras actividades, un curso de Maestro de Celebraciones Lit\u00fargicas y participar\u00e1 en la Ordenaci\u00f3n Episcopal del P.\u00a0 Jos\u00e9 Asimbaya Moreno, obispo castrense, electo.<\/p>\n<p>El P. Corrado Maggioni, es sacerdote montfortiano, cuenta con un doctorado en Liturgia por el Pontificio Instituto Lit\u00fargico de Sant\u2019Anselm; ha sido jefe de oficina en el Dicasterio para el Culto Divino; en 2013 fue nombrado consultor de la Oficina de Celebraciones Lit\u00fargicas del Papa y en 2014 el Santo Padre lo design\u00f3 subsecretario del mismo Dicasterio; es miembro del Consejo de la Pontificia Academia Mariana Internacional y profesor del Pontificio Instituto Lit\u00fargico Sant\u2019Anselm, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n de la Pontificia Facultad de Teolog\u00eda Marianum.\u00a0 En el a\u00f1o 2021 el Papa Francisco lo eligi\u00f3 para dirigir el Comit\u00e9 Pontificio para los Congresos Eucar\u00edsticos Internacionales.<\/p>\n<p>Es la segunda ocasi\u00f3n que el P.
